The Youth Sports Performance Program at Impact Sports Performance is designed for athletes ages 8–11 who are ready to learn how to move, train, and compete the right way. This program bridges the gap between basic youth fitness and more advanced athletic development by focusing on movement quality, coordination, speed, and confidence.
Rather than pushing intensity too early, we emphasize proper mechanics, coachability, and teamwork — laying the foundation for long-term athletic success. Every athlete begins with an evaluation so we can place them in the right environment and ensure safe, effective progression.
Families from Novi, Brighton, and East Lansing trust Impact Sports Performance to develop young athletes the right way — from the very beginning.

At the youth level, training should build skills — not break athletes down. Our Youth Sports Performance Program focuses on developing athletic fundamentals that carry over into every sport while keeping sessions fun, challenging, and structured.
This program is not general playtime and it’s not bootcamp-style training. It’s a professional youth fitness and performance environment designed to help young athletes:
Move efficiently
Develop speed and agility
Improve coordination and balance
Build confidence through achievement
The result is athletes who enjoy training, understand effort, and develop a strong work ethic early.

This program is ideal for:
Athletes ages 8–11
Kids new to organized sports
Young athletes who want to improve speed, agility, and coordination
Athletes preparing for more structured training in the future
Parents looking for professional coaching — not chaos
Whether your child is training at our Novi facility or attending sessions in East Lansing, the goal is the same: build a strong, athletic foundation that supports long-term development.

Speed and agility fundamentals

Jumping, landing, and movement mechanics
Introductory strength training using bodyweight and light resistance
Team-based challenges that develop effort, focus, and communication
Training is intentionally designed to be engaging and challenging while reinforcing positive habits that translate into sports, school, and life.
While youth fitness is a key part of the program, our focus goes beyond exercise alone. We coach young athletes to develop:
Confidence through consistent progress
Coachability and accountability
Teamwork and leadership
A love for training and improvement
By emphasizing effort and execution, athletes learn how to train with purpose — setting the stage for future success in middle school, high school, and beyond.
All Youth Sports Performance sessions are led by experienced Impact Sports Performance coaches who understand how kids grow, move, and learn. Training takes place in a structured small-group environment where athletes receive clear instruction, consistent feedback, and encouragement.
This approach allows us to maintain high standards while ensuring each athlete feels supported and challenged at the appropriate level.

Every athlete begins with an evaluation so our coaching staff can assess movement, coordination, and overall readiness for training. This ensures your child is placed in the right group and set up for a positive experience from day one.
To get started, complete the evaluation form and contact the Impact Sports Performance location closest to you. Families throughout Brighton, Novi, and East Lansing choose Impact because we prioritize development, safety, and long-term success.
