Building the Bridge to High School Performance

The Middle School Sports Performance Program at Impact Sports Performance is designed for athletes ages 11–13 who are ready to train with more structure, purpose, and consistency. This program builds on the foundations of youth fitness and youth sports performance while introducing proper strength training, speed development, and athletic discipline.

This is the stage where young athletes begin preparing for the physical demands of middle school sports and future high school strength and conditioning programs — all in a safe, coached environment.

Families from Novi, Brighton, and East Lansing choose Impact Sports Performance because we develop athletes the right way, without rushing the process.

What Middle School Athletes Train

Training sessions focus on building the physical tools needed for success in sport:

  • Strength training using safe, age-appropriate techniques

  • Sprint mechanics and speed development

  • Agility and change-of-direction drills

  • Jumping, landing, and coordination work

  • Core strength and injury-prevention exercises

These sessions are structured, coached, and designed to prepare athletes for the demands of competition and future training environments.

More Than Fitness. Developing Competitors.

While youth fitness remains part of the foundation, middle school athletes begin learning how to train with intent. Our coaches focus on:

  • Accountability and effort

  • Listening and coachability

  • Confidence through measurable progress

  • Teamwork and respect

This mindset is what allows athletes to succeed when they move into higher-level sports and sports performance academy programs.
