Middle School Sports Performance Training

Building the Bridge to High School Performance
The Middle School Sports Performance Program at Impact Sports Performance is designed for athletes ages 11–13 who are ready to train with more structure, purpose, and consistency. This program builds on the foundations of youth fitness and youth sports performance while introducing proper strength training, speed development, and athletic discipline.
This is the stage where young athletes begin preparing for the physical demands of middle school sports and future high school strength and conditioning programs — all in a safe, coached environment.
Families from Novi, Brighton, and East Lansing choose Impact Sports Performance because we develop athletes the right way, without rushing the process.

Middle school is a critical phase of athletic development. Bodies are changing, coordination is improving, and training needs to be structured — not random.
Our Middle School Sports Performance Program focuses on:
Teaching proper strength training mechanics
Improving speed, agility, and movement control
Building work ethic, focus, and accountability
Preparing athletes for more advanced training in the future
This program is designed to challenge athletes while keeping safety and long-term development the priority.

This program is ideal for:
Athletes ages 11–13
Middle school athletes in organized sports
Kids transitioning from basic youth fitness into more serious training
Athletes who want to get stronger, faster, and more confident
Parents looking for professional coaching and structured progression
Whether training in Novi or attending sessions in Brighton, every athlete follows a development path built for their stage of growth.

What Middle School Athletes Train
Training sessions focus on building the physical tools needed for success in sport:
Strength training using safe, age-appropriate techniques
Sprint mechanics and speed development
Agility and change-of-direction drills
Jumping, landing, and coordination work
Core strength and injury-prevention exercises
These sessions are structured, coached, and designed to prepare athletes for the demands of competition and future training environments.
While youth fitness remains part of the foundation, middle school athletes begin learning how to train with intent. Our coaches focus on:
Accountability and effort
Listening and coachability
Confidence through measurable progress
Teamwork and respect
This mindset is what allows athletes to succeed when they move into higher-level sports and sports performance academy programs.
Professional Coaching at Every Session
Every Middle School Sports Performance session is led by experienced Impact Sports Performance coaches who understand how to train growing athletes. Small-group training allows us to correct technique, adjust workloads, and keep athletes progressing safely.
This ensures consistent quality across all Impact locations, including East Lansing, Novi, and Brighton.

Every athlete begins with a comprehensive evaluation to assess movement, strength, and readiness for training. This allows us to place athletes in the right group and build a plan that supports safe, steady improvement.
